Many people hear the words police car auction and immediately steer clear of anything to do with one of these for fear that they are inheriting a piece of property that has a rather checkered past. True they have in the past may have been used in the committing of a crime, but that is no reason to automatically dismiss these car auctions as a way of getting a great deal on a car that has seen a unique past over the years. First lets imagine for a moment that Best Buy never told you about specials that they were running and the only way that you would know about these specials was to go and find them in the store itself. Same can be said about car auctions, police let the public know exactly what vehicles they have in stock available for auction and the public then get to bid on these vehicles in hopes of getting a great deal on a repossessed car.

I have known several people in the past that have got great deals by going to a car auction and trying to find a car that was repossessed. These cars are broad in the types that are offered. I have seen everything from a Pinto to a Jaguar being offered in an auction. Now I know you are sitting at home reading this and going but a drug dealer used that car. This is true but you know what drive around town in a Jaguar that you got cheap at a police car auction and see if you don't forget about the fact of who it belonged to.

Now you need to remember that these cars have been cleared of any connection to crime from it's previous owner. So why not drive a car that is new to you and can make you feel a lot better about yourself for a lot less than going to a dealership and buying a car from there.

I have seen cars be auctioned off for as little as $500 for a top of the line luxury car. Again these cars have nothing wrong with them all they need is an owner that just needs to take care of it and treat it with love and respect. I know this sounds like the beginnings of a Hallmark commercial but it is the truth these cars still have plenty of life left in them and if you can get one for next to nothing then why the heck not.

There are other ways of getting a cheap auction car, repossessions are a wonderful way to get a car for next to nothing. Unlike a police seizure, a repossession has no connection to crime they are simply cars that people fell behind on the payments and could not afford to keep the car. As you can see there are several ways to get a cheap car at an auction and find yourself driving a car you thought you would never be able to afford under normal circumstances.

I want some estimation on what you think that this car would sell for at an auto repo auction. It's an auction every week that sells approximately 300 cars each week. I am looking at a 2002 jaguar x-type with 86,088 miles on it. Usually the cars sell under their market prices, but what should it sell for......... we previously looked into an infiniti qx56 that was worth 30,000 but sold for 21,000..... so i don't have any guesses
